St. Lucia

St. Lucia is another island in the Caribbean Sea we stopped to visit. It’s about 238 square miles with a population of over 160,000. We loved seeing the real St. Lucia, not just the tourist parts, and we were not disappointed in everything this beautiful island had to offer. St. Lucia was definitely our favorite island so far because it reminded us of our own home – Nigeria. There were a lot of school children in their uniforms walking to and from school; locals were selling fresh fruit and peppers on the side of the street; and the cars and people flowed with a perfect harmony that might look chaotic to some, but for the people of St. Lucia (and Nigeria) it works. We didn’t have time to sit and eat, we were too busy exploring; we’re definitely sad to depart this lovely island so soon, but we’re off to our next stop – Barbados! Until then, enjoy some of the pictures we took!
